The fixture list speaks for itself (cf. above) – just one request: Those who like to watch the matches at our sponsor Mr. Pickwick Pub and are not wearing a shirt of one of participating teams, please either wear our new polo shirt or one of our club shirts.

Und der Sieger ist…
Design 1: Das soll die neue Clubkrawatte werden – das hat der Wettbewerb ergeben, der am 31. Januar zu Ende ging. Design 1 gewann mit acht Stimmen Vorsprung auf Design 3, keine Stimmen gewann Design 2. Den Gewinner des Wettbewerbs ermittelt der Vorstand an seiner nächsten Sitzung kommende Woche. Zehn Mitglieder haben bereits eine Krawatte bestellt, aber damit wir sie zum Preis von 20.00 Franken pro Stück beziehen können, brauchen wir mindestens noch 15 weitere Bestellungen – das ist möglich via ties4rfcb(at)gmail.com.

And the winner is…
Design 1: That should be our new club tie – that is the result of our competition which ended on 31 January. Design 1 won eight votes ahead of design 3, with no votes for design 2.The committee will draw the winner of the competition at its next meeting next week. Ten orders have already come in; however, to get them at a price of 20.00 CHF each we need at least 15 further orders – you can order via ties4rfcb(at)gmail.com.

Wer sich den Kinofilm “Invictus” über Südafrikas Gewinn der Rugby-WM 1995 vor dem Hintergrund des Endes des Apartheid-Regimes anschauen will (mit Morgan Freeman als Nelson Mandela und Matt Damon als Sprinbok-Captain François Pienaar), ist vielleicht interessiert an einer Filmkritik der BBC.

Those who would like to watch the movie “Invictus” about South Africa winning the 1995 Rugby World Cup, with the end of the Apartheid regime as background (with Morgan Freeman playing Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon as Springbok captain François Pienaar) may be interested to read a review by the BBC.
