Basel U8, U10 and U12 compete in rainy Luzern

Players from all three age groups represent their club with excellent results while playing through downpours.
The Basel Rugby School sent nearly a trainload of players to Luzern on Sunday. The club was represented by 2 U8, 3 U10 and 10 U12.
The Bern/Basel/Würenlos U8 team went 1:1 with a win over a tough Winterthur/Lugano squad. Karl and Twyla continue to build match experience and enjoyed their time on the pitch and train together.
The U10 players were paired with Bern had a draw and two close losses in an evenly matched field.
Our U12 squad partnered with Würenlos and had a great day only losing to Zurich in the first match. The loss did not discourage the squad, who quickly figured out how to play together, giving up 6 tries in their next 3 matches while scoring 16. The three wins were enough to propel the joint squad to their 2nd, 2nd place finish in as many tournaments.
BRS will again be paired with Würenlos at the Swiss National U12 Tournament in Fribourg on the 10th.
