The Basel Birds took home the win after a tough game at Pruntrutermatte in Basel against CERN. With plenty of ball possession against a very strong defence, the halftime score stood at 15–12 for Basel, and the Birds secured a well-deserved 20–12 victory in the end.

In the first half, the Birds struggled a bit with the wet weather and a few knock-ons, but the determined team stayed true to their strengths — solid, basic play with powerful hits in the middle of the field. Both halves saw the scrum working at its best, consistently pushing CERN back by more than half a meter.

All tries came from great teamwork, strong communication, and relentless effort across the pitch — a real team performance to be proud of!

Die Basel Birds besiegten CERN in einem harten Spiel auf der Pruntrutermatte in Basel. Mit viel Ballbesitz und gegen eine starke Verteidigung spielten sie bis zur Pause eine 15:12-Führung heraus. Am Ende stand es 20:12 für die Baslerinnen.

In der ersten Halbzeit machte das nasse Wetter den Birds zu schaffen. Einige Bälle gingen nach vorne verloren, doch das Team spielte entschlossen weiter und baute auf seine Stärken. Die einfache und solide Spielweise durch die Mitte funktionierte gut. Im Gedränge waren die Birds deutlich stärker und schoben CERN regelmässig zurück.

Alle Versuche wurden mit gutem Teamwork herausgespielt, basierend auf guter Kommunikation und vollem Einsatz auf dem ganzen Feld. Auf diese Teamleistung dürfen wir wirklich stolz sein!
